Schwalbe Marathon PRO Mondial, 27.5" TLR Folding Tyre - black/reflex

The Marathon Mondial is the long-distance runner in our programme – and the youngest offspring of a dynasty of explorers. It is our reliable specialist for thousands of expedition kilometres and for all the uncertainties on the roads and trails of the world. Your focus is entirely on the horizon!

Puncture protection - your invisible friend

The optimal puncture protection is a central criterion in the long evolution of our touring bike tyres. The Marathon Mondial features the all-round protection of Double Defense technology.

As a touring bike tyre of its format, the Marathon Mondial must perform equally well on the road as on rougher terrain. We achieve this with an optimal blend of low rolling resistance and durability. Thus, the Marathon Mondial rolls smoothly on asphalt – but also offers extreme resilience and load capacity with heavy luggage in off-road use – up to 150 kilograms total weight.

Profile

In terms of profile design, the Marathon Mondial benefits from our MTB know-how: Its prominent shoulder lugs are equipped with so-called grooves, small cuts that spread open and allow the lugs to better engage with the ground. This provides stability on loose surfaces, in corners, and in wet conditions. The tread, in turn, consists of wide, smooth blocks that also roll optimally on asphalt.

Maximum performance, latest technologies: For the big adventure, we recommend the PRO version, as it is equipped with Double Defense Pro and V-Guard, providing even more puncture protection and maximum reliability.

Tube or tubeless?

For the first time, the Marathon Mondial is now also available as a tubeless tyre – specifically in the PRO version. This increases its puncture protection additionally and allows for lower air pressure.
