What is a suspension seatpost?

A suspension seatpost is a specially developed bike seatpost with a shock-damping design. It compensates for uneven terrain and reduces the load on the rider.

The ShockStop range of suspension seatposts features a proprietary parallelogram design. This keeps the suspension active even when you are seated and pedalling. That means you can benefit from the suspension’s compensating effect even when you apply power, unlike some suspension seatposts that lock up when pedalling.
