Description

Ready for everything

Our high-performance aluminium gravel bike builds on the long-standing tradition of the CAAD and brings together everything we learned when making the best aluminium frames on the market. Ready to explore new horizons, discover remote routes or get you to work faster.

A Topstone bike
It’s first and foremost a Topstone. Like the entire model range, this bike stands out for its perfect fit, confident handling and playful ride feel, all combined in a premium aluminium frame of the highest CAAD quality. Ready for rallies, racing and long rides – just like its carbon twin brother.

CAAD, by conviction
Cannondale Advanced Aluminium Design is a continuously developed aluminium tradition. Light, responsive, durable and practical to use: the Topstone CAAD embodies the quality we’ve refined for decades through the construction of world-class aluminium frames.

Ready for every day
Gravel racing on Saturday. Discovery ride on Sunday. City traffic on Monday. The Topstone CAAD has generous tyre clearance, lots of mounting options and huge everyday usability – a gravel bike ready for everything.

CAAD
The manufacturing technology behind the lightweight, robust and refined frame of the Topstone CAAD is Cannondale Advanced Aluminium Design. Precisely shaped, tapered and end-reinforced tubes, smoothed weld seams and clean lines deliver the high-quality ride feel and solid stiffness that CAAD is known for.

Full carbon up front
The full-carbon fork of the Topstone CAAD ensures light, precise steering, but it also features threaded bosses for water bottles, panniers, gear and lights. It provides extra comfort where it’s needed and gives the gravel bike a precise, powerful ride feel – on the road and off-road.

OutFront steering geometry
By combining a longer fork offset with a flatter steering angle, the OutFront steering geometry delivers confident stability and, at the same time, sharp handling. As a result, the front of the bike feels calm even at high speed, is responsive in tight spaces and provides more security even with smaller frame sizes.

Ready for suspension forks
The Topstone CAAD is designed for the mounting of a suspension fork, including our Lefty Oliver, so that if needed you can ride on the same Topstone platform with even more off-road control. Same bike family. More performance at the front.

Tyre clearance
Space for tyres with a measured width of up to 52 mm with 4 mm clearance on each side for more grip, comfort and control on a wide range of surfaces. The Lefty Oliver models are optimised for 700x47 mm tyres; tyre height is the key measurement for tyre clearance.

Endless mounting points
Bottles? Panniers? Mudguards? Racks? The Topstone CAAD has so many mounting points on the frame and fork that we stopped counting. Just fit everything – and a bit more.

Ready for a kickstand
A discreet 18 mm kickstand mount with two threaded bolts makes the Topstone CAAD ready for everyday use in no time. Fit it when you need it. Leave it off when you can do without.

BSA bottom bracket
The screwed 68 mm BSA bottom bracket with thread on the Topstone CAAD is simple, proven and maintenance-friendly. Less time spent on maintenance. More time for gravel riding.
